While caddying at a snooty country club, ambitious young Danny (Michael O'Keefe) goes for a college scholarship. Meanwhile, a crude construction tycoon goes to extremes to be accepted into the exclusive club, and a psychotic groundskeeper stalks a rampaging gopher. It all adds up to one of the greatest sports movies of all time and a highly quotable, unforgettably classic comedy.
